Lino Cawthorne: Take it out on Saturday or Sunday and run it for a half hour or so. Find some back roads, make it fun. Otherwise, nothing. Even though you are putting minimum miles on it, change the oil every 3 months and keep an eye on tire inflation. Once it sees 50K miles, have the tranny fluid changed.
Floyd Labuda: To me, not much more then oil change. Use synthetic or use two quarts of synthetic oil. Drive the car on long distance once in a while for blow out the carbon built up and water condensation in the exhaust. Change the coolant every two or three years.
Mohamed Szollosi: recommended Service Intervals are given for mileage OR time and are always qualified by "Whichever passes first". If you are not covering the expected annual mileage, then your car should be serviced on an annual basis, regardless of the mileage.
Mozell Sponsler: if milage is 45000 plus u should-have tires balanced & rotated, replace air filter&cabin filter, brakes insp! ected, belts, hoses checked, transmission service, replace fuel filter. mechanics make money on fixing what they find wrong,so they will do most of the checking for free if asked to do so
Demetrius Coaster: the only maintenance problem you should have is keeping up with all the money you are saving.maybe something to keep the battery alive if you plan to let it sit for an extended time (one of those solar things) but if you drive those 3 days on a regular interval even that is nil.you got...............................low gas costs... savethe mileage is low = low wear and tear... valuemaintenance costs are small... savethe car is aging so gracefully yet taxes and insurance are going down.. save again if it's in a garage... (helping keep a mint condition) no weather ,rust, sunburn or bird lime..............you beat the game....Show more
