preschool, kindergarten or home?

Rosalva Steinmann: sounds like your daughters ok instructor has unrealistic expectancies for infants. young infants this age like to socialise, some extra desirable than others. My son never outgrew this! Many kindergartens are too educational. This purely contraptions up the lil ones for failure. I say decide for the try. If he gets in, super. My daughter neglected the date by technique of five days. I stored her out to the subsequent year, even regardless of the undeniable fact that she grew to become into smarter than something. She additionally grew to become right into somewhat on the immature area, and not never close up. She grew to become into so busy, and yet another social butterfly. yet another year fairly helped her mature. She grew to become into very powerful in Kindergarten....Show more

Fritz Hawkey: Good question. but I think you are considering the school's needs a bit too strongly. Your first priority, as I can tell by your thoughtful question, is! your son. He also sounds absolutely ready academically for kindergarden. It is nonsense that your daughter would not be a talker if she had gone to preschool. Absolute nonsense. She is young and talks before she thinks. That is a life skill she will develop with time and age. In no way is your daughter deficient in character, and shame on the teacher for being so narrow. A huge lesson as a newer mom to getting her children educated is this: Not everyone who has a job with children is an expert. They are not mean or rude (hopefully!), but they are not always right. Have your son take the test. Keep your options open. April is so very far away from September at this age, and so much growth will happen between now and then. You know your son best and if you think he is ready, he is probably ready. Since your district offers this readiness test, they also think that some children are ready even before the traditional cut off date. Since your son will be new to! school or preschool, half days may be best. Some kindergarde! ns are full day and consider if your son can handle that....Show more
