Will tattoos ever go out of style?

Jonelle Eligio: Don't suggest any other piercings; your negative opinions won't matter. I use to have a Monroe but wasn't feelin' it anymore so I removed it.With make-uphttp://yfrog.com/2p82544853pWithouthttp://yfrog.com/jd32677611p...Show more

Kristina Brockwell: I like the third one the best. :)

Bob Nakamoto: (please God let them go out of style)

Connie Dickirson: Depends. Do you mean the semi-current style trend? Probably, but they'll come back again, probably from a different angle. How & when is a hard call. It's not like pierced ears on guys have faded and that's been going on since the 80s.The cycle time is a question for a sociologist, if it's even possible to answer. If you mean purely as a cultural - and not just in western, US or European style first world countries- then probably not. You'd see t-shirts go away first is my guess....Show more

Ismael Sixon: NEVER DO A TATTOO BECAUSE YOU THINK IT IS A STYLE !!

Raye Tredennick: th! e pics are private but i loove hindi style tattoos!

Barton Slisz: I would go with the second one.

Sharri Scalley: snake bites, i have one piercing and its just one stud on my left side of my lip.

Pearlie Medora: nope. They've been around for thousands of years and seems like they're getting more and more accepted. So its pretty much the opposite. If you don't like them, don't get one....Show more

Kiersten Clayburn: niks,

Bernadette Roel: I agree that being a tattoo artist is a way of life (its a free creative art form really). However, for actually getting a tattoo, it's different. Tattoos are for other people to look at, making them a fashion statement in a sense, just as rappers dress like rappers, pop princesses like pop princesses and metal heads like metal heads. There is nothing wrong with it, apart from the fact your stuck with it, even if it's bad, not lie with the others. It doesn't matter what people say about the meaning of them. Any! thing meaningful can be remembered, you don't need a tattoo to! remind you. I am a metal head (stereotyped as tattoo lovers), and i will never get a tattoo or piercing. I would rather change other aspects of my appearance if i wanted to look different. If i loved art so much, i would express it on a suitable medium, not my body, so i can show it off. Just my opinion, no need to bite, i respect people who like tattoos, its their choice and if their happy, that is great! I believe they wont phase out as they will always be out there (people have to live for 40-50 with them them, promoting them at the same time haha)....Show more

Carter Edstrom: they'll go in style and somewhat out of style... but never completly, until your old and have wrinkly skin and the tatoo would be really nasty looking.

Dominic Sciancalepore: Yes, types of tattoos will go out of style but sorry tattoos will not. Recent boom in tattoos will fade once all the stupid ppl who got meaningless tattoos grow up and realize that their tattoo sucks-

Hilton! Paiva: snake bites

Chris Rosenkranz: 2nd one is a bit rubbish.. not really that true either.3rd is perfect. it makes sense and it looks beautiful in latin :)

Loriann Carrigan: Like all things that become stylish, tats will eventually become un-stylish.A lot of people will still have them anyway.

Freddy Shutler: Those pics are set to private.

Thomas Riner: a tattoo is an art that i believe will never go out of style; however, the design a person chooses to put on their body can go out of style. personally, i it's best to choose a design that has sentimental value rather than something out of a brochure. :o)

Irvin Guiles: None of the tattooed people I know got them because it was "the style." Their tattoos are far more meaningful than that. Anyone who gets something permanent like that just to be "in style" will likely regret it. And as others have said, tattooing has been around for centuries- so no, they won't... go away. If anything, they'r! e becoming more acceptable, less stigmatized. I'd like to tell you what! you want to hear/read, but then I'd be lying. Sorry!

Shad Bushweller: HELL NO they won't go out of style!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! because tattoos are not meant to be a style but of personal expression!

Marjory Stromme: Find an artist that you are comfortable with. Check out his portfolio to make sure you like the style of work that he/she does and do a consultation with the artist. Why in the world would you rely on the opinions of people here who don't know you for advice on what should be on your body for the rest of your life? You are the one who has to live with the result. Don't you think that YOU are the best person to choose what you want on your body? Would you approach a random person on the street to ask how to dress yourself for the day? Same thing you have done here (with a little bit more permanent results). I am all for people getting tattoos, being a tattoo artist. I just don't understand why there are so many people on this site asking complete strang! ers what tattoos they should get. These people don't know you, nor do they really care what tattoo you get. This is something best left to you and your tattoo artist.Hope I wasn't too harsh, I just wish all of you would learn that others' opinions don't matter when it comes to tattoos. If you are getting the artwork done to impress others, then you are getting it done for the wrong reason and you will likely regret the choice that someone else has made for you somewhere down the line. I don't know a true tattoo artist alive who wants their work covered up or that wants a client who isn't 100% happy with their tattoo choice. Good luck finding your tattoo artist. I hope you get the tattoo that you are wanting and are proud to wear it for the rest of your life....Show more

Katheryn Skrobacki: These tattoos are in Hindi, they both say Govind(a name of god).I want your opinion on which on which will look better as a tattoo.#1 http://www.flickr.com/photos/15550718@N06/42997! 998...#2 http://www.flickr.com/photos/15550718@N06/42990518......Show m! ore

Jene Licausi: i like the last one, sounds less regretting.

Lita Thammorongsa: I don't think so. Maybe a certain type of them, but not tattoos in general. People have been getting tattoos for thousands of years, all over the world. It's identification, a status symbol, artwork, a piece of yourself. Tattoos are many different things to different people, I don't see them going out of style. Especially since so many people are getting them now, and they're permanent.

Arnoldo Budzynski: That is a yes/no answer. Yes because as you said style. Styles come and they go. I am not so sure they were actually ever in style for a majority of the population. But their popularity has increased over the past several years. No I do no think they will ever go completely out of style. There has always been and there always will be a segment of the population that will find them stylish. I think what you have to ask yourself is "Do I want a tattoo?" That will eve! ntually turn blue, and be with me for the rest of my life. Style is an individual decision as is a tattoo....Show more

Jonie Lauria: why does it matter? don't get a tattoo just because it's "in style" get it because you really want it. it's not a hairstyle or a clothes change.. it's a tattoo, it will be there forever. get it because you want it, not because everyone else has one. i think eventually they will go out of style.. everything does at one point but who cares as long as you like it!

Germaine Tieken: No, they are pictures that tell storys about the person. Even if a tattoo seems trendy there is a good chance it has a meaning to the wearer. Tats have been around forever. Every generation is going to have them. So certain tattoos may go out of style. But tattooing as an art will probably never die.

Palmira Lochridge: i like the first one better

Boris Hadsall: angel bites cause snake bites are too trendy now these days

Elvie Drumgoole: .! .second...

Chris Wilczewski: I think you should just get 1 lip ri! ng on your right sideI like all peircings so don't think I'm hating, I just really think that a lip ring would suit your style better than snake or angel bites.

Jules Ashbach: This will be on my inner forearm. Please help me translate the first one and fix any of the others if necessary. Thanks and please choose which one(s) you prefer! :)excuse me while i kiss the skylife is a beautiful struggle vita contentio amoena esthere is more to life than being alive Vita non est vivere sed valere vita estfor God and Family pro deus et familia...Show more

Piedad Bassiti: thx..i fixed them

Lolita Deschamp: yeah

Chauncey Williama: are tattoos considered stylish now?well considering when they started out the only people who really had then were inmates...i think eventually it wont be such a fad, but as long as people are getting them for the right reasons, there shouldnt be a problem with regret...Show more

Brice Greczkowski: Every artist has their own! rates, but will give you a price when you go in for a consult. It would also depend on if there's color, size, time to tattoo... So stop in a local, reputable shop and ask!

Elsie Resner: NEVER. Tattoos are something that extends through history, races, genders, religions, creeds, age, disability, anything. It is a form of personal expression. Everyone wants to express themself. It would surprise you how many conservative collared professionals even have them...

Natalya Sydney: I personally prefer snakebites, but I think angel bites would look really good.

Hans Sachetti: I hope they go out of style back into what they were. I'm tired of all these children wanting tattoo's then once they get them their on here asking how to get rid of them.

Jed Mutone: Snakebitess . :)Theyy're ******* sexy

Mahalia Brindle: humm well if people get tattoos as a fashion statement they're bound to go out of style one day...having said that, people who do that a! re a minority, i believe so i don't think they will.. i couldn't care l! ess what others do with their skins.. cheers.

Mohamed Szollosi: No I don't think so. They have been around FOR EVER. It's not that they are exactly in style anyway. Most people don't get tattoos because they are in style at the time, they get them because they mean something to them. Tattoo's are a form of expression and always will be.When you say please god let it go out of style... does that mean you don't like tattoo's or you like tattoo's but your sick of everyone getting meaningless, generic tattoo's because they think they are "cool".If you don't like tattoo's... well I suppose that's your opinion. It's not on your body though, so I don't see how it would bother you.If you are annoyed with people getting them for no reason, I agree....Show more

Bernie Cerra: second

Leisa Brodnex: The answer to your question is no. Tattooing is one of the worlds oldest art forms. It has been a part of human culture for nearly as long as the human race itself. The m! odern tattoo has grown in popularity and has become so mainstream that even US supreme court justices have them. For them to become unpopular would mean that the 40% of 25 to 40 year olds and 36% of 18-25 year olds in the United States, would all have to die and take the tattoo artists with them. In fact, if people continue to get tattooed at the rate they currently are, the total population of the US with a tattoo will be 60% by 2012. So, soon you and the other haters will be the minority. I can't wait for that day to arrive....Show more

Kaylee Schmittou: Tattoos will never go out of style. They have been around for 100s of years. They are a part of cultures and considered ways for people in the tribe to show that they are adults. The mainstream of getting tattoos may one day slow but I doubt that. It's a way for people to express themselves and to tell stories of their lives.

Clemmie Burkleo: Tattoos are personal. For those who do it to "be in style"...then t! hey are doing it for the wrong reason and may have some regret later on! , but maybe not...most get the idea after that first and keep getting ink for more personal reasons later on in life. For you wanting to go out of style, it tells a lot of about you. If you dont like them so much, then just dont get them. As far as the post that stated it started mostly with inmates...are sorely mistaken...some cultures used them war time and others for maturity marks into manhood and womanhood. It was a mark of the tribes and the clans...either way, it didnt start with inmates.Best of Luck!...Show more

Joey Mekeel: Tattoos have been involved in various culturefor THOUSANDS of years. We're talkin' pre-old testament. I don't think they're going anywhere, but they may lose popularity in one place, and gain it in others.

Corrinne Ruozzo: danny's girl is right, they've been around for thousands of years...look it up

Alma Twomey: i dont think tatts are in style. I certainly wouldnt get a tat coz of fashion.Tattoos are a way of expressing who ! you are or remembering something/someoneFor that reason no. If someone has a memorial tat of there dead mother or whatever, they arnt goin to fall out of love with it becaue of the current trend
