Jess Grizzel: Okay, do you know what a pallet is ?Those wood things abot 5 inch's high,that are 4 feet by 4 feet , that have box's, etc on them that are used when Trucking companys move stuff ?You see them in walmart when they are restocking.1. Air Transportations job, is to configure the pallets -- ie: they put the equipment on the pallets, strap it down so it doesn't shift, then weigh the palletsThen they load those pallets onto the cargo aircraft, where the Load Master tells them tooAir Transportation does NOT fly, you stay on the base loading and unloading aircraft2. Load Masters, are part of an air crewThey receive info from the Air Transportation specialist, how many pallets, weight of the palletsThen they figure out how to balance weight of the pallets on the aircraftIE: which pallets go where, so the weight is evenly distributed on the aircraftThen they are respobsible for securing the pallests on the aircraft ( chaining them down )The Load Master flys in the air! craft...Show more
