why does music matter?

Alden Sabio: My answer would be, because you all say the same darn thing in this section--so what's your point.

Idell Mulliniks: Music gives auditory pleasure. One of the senses. Either you love it or you don't, but I think that most people love music. It's candy for the ears.@>}----}----AD...Show more

Inez Relihan: it adds emphasis to your emotionssadness, joy, anger, fear, confidence

Stanton Villao: Good music stimulates our emotions.I stress the word GOOD music.

Luis Farlow: evil

Virgilio Echter: You all say the same damn thing in this section, we get your point!

Shaquita Wernicki: Music is deep. It's relevant. It can be superfical, or incredibly potent. It is a beautiful abstraction that can be measured and written down. And it speaks to all of humanity.

Marvel Mcaulay: We are trying to prove nothing we are just living are life's but when the theists start something we have to get involved we just want you guys to start! thinking with all of your brain not just half of it questioning things is fun try it sometime.

Maynard Phoubandith: No, apparently you don't get it. Or you don't care. The existence of an omnipotent entity who cares about us, loves us more than we can imagine but sends us to hell disproves itself. It's logically impossible. That you insist on pretending it's remotely even POSSIBLE simply shows that you don't care about truth and therefore don't care about morality.

Raleigh Lufkin: music does stir emotions, brings back memories, and just generally makes you feel good. just like a smile turning away wrath, a happy song makes you smile even when you don't feel like it. some songs are about beautiful things, some are sad, and some tell a story. some are played so well that you can't help but admire the persons skill playing it. music soothes the savage breast.

Esteban Faggett: onereason.org

Andre Winegar: i am an atheist and i like your question. as an ! atheist i do not belong to any organized religion. and as an a! theist i respect everyones religious beliefs. nothing offends me more then other atheist bashing religion. think about it. they don't believe in divine anything. thats fine. so why do they think that gives them the right to tare down someone else faith. most atheist are just angry idiots, as im sure you already noticed. for some reason they think to be an atheist they are supposed to attack religion. they claim to not want religious beliefs thrust upon them while at the same time thrusting there beliefs(the belief in no god) on every one else. basically atheist are the one of most intolerant people. i think that they feel left out. to not believe in religion is fine. but when you attack and ridicule someone else for having religion that makes you a bigot. what offends me the most is when atheist quot religious scriptures to prove some sort of a point. they don't believe in it so why are they quoting it. that makes there argument moot and hypocritical. to all my fellow athe! ist. stop attacking religion. that just makes us all look bad. we are supposed to be working towards a more tolerant society. every time you attack religion you slow that down. and every time you quot the bible you are just being hypocrites. and guess what fellow atheist. you don't have any answers or prove of your points. and you can't tare down someones faith so every time you try you are just wasting you time and breath.

Elden Bardach: Music can pump you up when you're under the bar trying to press 260. It can make you feel good and forget about a bad day. It can make you feel sexual, funny, empowered...it moves ya man.Music can be a powerful thing....Show more

Von Houskeeper: Yet you still go by a title that indicates you're muslim, so obviously you don't get the point.

Florencio Dingle: The universe is always expanding we don't know where it start but you can ask the aliens. And also ask them if theres a god they know everything about everything thin! k about it

Cliff Jacoby: Like the person said above, if you got o! ur point then you wouldn't still believe in the milk jug.

Kimberlee Bowdish: I am not trying to prove anything. You ask, I answer. And we do not all "say the same damn thing" any more than you believe the Earth is only 6,000 years old, one Christian belief, AND evolution is a reality, another Christian belief. No group all "says the same damn thing". As individuals we all have our own opinions. The only thing we really agree on is that there is no god of any sort. Other than that, we say different damned things.

Kip Ockenfels: im not trying to prove anything, i havn't actualy visited this section is agesits a lost cause anyway, many christians have no idea where their bible storys come from and they think the bible is the "be all and end all"

Coleman Deliberato: You.

Jonathan Schlussel: so I can dance to it, to console myself, to relax, to be entertained from my boredom, to break the awkward silence, to distract myself from thinking about really ! stressful stuff

Angelyn Ducas: The mystery's of faith an GOD are beyond human comprehension.Faith concerns questions which cannot be settled by evidence. How can the universe create itself out of nothingness? Given the fact that the universe began to exist, it must have had a “cause” that originated it.Doesn't it make more sense to assume the existence of a Creation. The question is tricky because it sneaks in the false assumption that GOD came from somewhere and then asks where that might be. The answer is that the question does not even make sense. It is like asking, “What does blue smell like?” Blue is not in the category of things that have a smell, so the question itself is flawed. In the same way, GOD is not in the category of things that are created or caused. GOD is uncaused and uncreatedâ€"He simply exists. We know that from nothing, nothing comes. So, if there were ever a time when there was absolutely nothing in existence, then nothing would have ever ! come into existence. But things do exist. Therefore, since there could ! never have been absolutely nothing, something had to have always been in existence. That ever-existing being is what we call GOD ,GOD is the un-caused Being that caused everything else to come into existence. God is the uncreated Creator who created the universe and everything in it.Life without GOD is like an un- sharpened pencil it has no point..You can't see the wind, but you know it is there because you can see what the wind is doing. You can know that the wind is there because you can feel it.GOD is like the wind, you can't see him.~~~~~~~...Show more

Angelyn Ducas: i am medically proven to be a music addict. i become shaky without music. music is my novicane, my savior. i don't know what i would do without it.-Insolence

Ronnie Panas: I completely agree with Marooned!

Sammy Hatzenbihler: It's another way of communication.

Debora Soliani: Well in church we sing songs, and many songs help people grow in thier faith, as it says in the bible well i ! won't tell, just read the bible

Charissa Bichsel: Where does the universe end and time begin God does exist

Len Dalba: Music is God's gift to us. The lyrics tell more about the nature of music. I mean if it is for God or not. : )

Kenneth Thuesen: I listen to praise and worship music because it lifts me up and glorifies God. Satan was in charge of praise and worship before he chose to rebel, when we praise and worship with music we are taking over his old job. Shoving it in his face.

Jammie Taddei: Hello,Well food for thought I actually I did hear Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu say that Israel would much rather have Canada for a neighbour than those they have right now.Cheers,Michael Kelly...Show more

Rebbecca Sorkin: If Israel became part of the US and became a "state" wouldn't that be a good thing for Borg the US and Israel's protection?

Magda Vandergriend: So you don't believe in mythical sky men and bronze age myths anymore? I! f not you still haven't gotten the point.

Charissa Bichsel: Music! can turn a really bad day into a bearable day, just by listening to a song that reminds you of a good time you had while listening to it, music is very important

Rocio Karvis: Music is truely magical

Vernita Robberson: "we get your point"Obviously you don't.

Jed Porada: Name one god that wasn't created by some human..you can't...LOL

Darren Heling: Music I listen to reflects my mood, right now it's 'killing-the-cat' music that's how happy I am ...

Charissa Bichsel: There is nothing to prove or disprove. No1 can prove or disprove the existence of God. In fact, the only way not to believe in God is to have 'Faith" that he is imaginary and not real. Atheists, with all of their bs logic and scientific crap, are very faithful creatures.
